Calvary Christian Church exists to make disciples. A disciple is a life long learner and follower of Christ. We teach people to:

     Love God
     Serve God
     Love People
     Serve People

Church is not so much about a place as it is about belonging. God loves us and wants what is best for us and He has brought His plan together in Christ. God established His Church as a means of reaching out to people who are lost and hurting outside of the fellowship of God. The Church is the avenue that God has chosen to accomplish His ministry of reconciliation (II Corinthians 5:18-19).

In addition the Church is commissioned to care for one another as the Body of Christ (Galatians 6:1-5). “One another” is one of the key phrases in the Christian’s vocabulary. “Love one another” is found at least a dozen times in the New Testament, along with “pray for one another” (James 5:16); “edify one another” (1 Thessalonians 5:11); “prefer one another” (Romans 12:10); “use hospitality one to another” (I Peter 4:9).

It is these Godly principles that motivate what we do as a congregation. We seek to reach out to the lost and hurting with the love of Jesus Christ and we seek to minister to one another as the Body of Christ. We believe that as long as we do these things God will be glorified, people will be changed for the better and we will be blessed by God.

We do not see ourselves as the only Christians, we realize there are others who are Christian who do not act just like us. That is the beauty of God's wisdom in creating all of us as unique individuals. We do believe that God has established clear commands and guidelines on how He wants His Church to accomplish His Plan for mankind. We strive hard to be faithful and obedient to those principles and we under gird all that we do with prayer. We are a practicing member congregation of the Restoration Movement. We seek unity in the Church via the Word of God.

We want to be the kind of congregation that not only teaches the Word of God but displays it on a daily basis. We believe it is essential to be who we say we are. We are not perfect, just forgiven and live daily by His grace. Come and see us and see what God has in store for you at Calvary Christian Church.
